Suspended Coffee.

One of the great things about a new job is discovering ideas like the suspended coffee scheme. It is a simple act of charity from one person to another. The Rusty Bucket have for some time now been facilitating customers to buy a filter coffee or a cup of tea extra to their requirements. This is then logged and passed on to somebody in need of a drink but for whatever reasons they cannot pay for it. All the recipient has to do is ask at the counter and without question they will receive a drink at no cost to themselves. This is a simple way of showing concern from one person to another. Again it is a great reminder of what God has done in Christ Jesus. By His death and resurrection Jesus has removed the need for us to pay the cost of personal sin, the price of which is death. Jesus has died on behalf of all who come to Him in repentance and in need of forgiveness. God forgives the sinner but Jeus paid the price required for forgiveness to be accomplished. It is a bit like our suspended coffee, the price is paid beforehand and all that is needed is the humility to come and to ask and then to receive the free gift.

If you would like to know more about either the work of the Rusty Bucket or of the Lord Jesus Christ why not contact me through the Rusty Bucket Christian Resource Centre website or e-mail me at: peterpamthatcher@btinternet.com

Every blessing to you

Peter
